Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania and is now an actress from Germany and Romania. Her most well-known movies include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born the only child to Romanian actor Valentin Platareu, Alexandra began her professional career in the show business at an early age. By the time she turned 16years old, Alexandra was able to land prominent roles in a variety of television dramas. Her fame was due to her role in Der Tunnel. This paved the way to other memorable performances, like Adolf Hitler's secretary of state Traudl Junge. The Reader is another Oscar nominated movie featuring this actress. Alexandra has been involved in numerous important international and national projects over the years. These projects included British biographical films Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. She also remained member of the jury of the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
